I don’t even know where to begin with these two animal loving, chinchilla obsessed, super intelligent, and way too cool for me humans. They picked me up at 2:30 in the morning to drive about 3 hours to Hurricane Ridge (pics to come). We hit it off right away, and it was basically like we have known each other forever. We bonded over a love of photography (Zoe is an insanely talented photographer, you can check out her work here: https://www.zoeburchard.com/ ), Andrew Kearns, animals, and this beautiful earth we live on. When we finally got to Hurricane Ridge it was a dream, complete with a smoky golden sunrise, and a herd of deer that came to hang with us.
We then drove another 3-4 hours to the coast, where they introduced me to Cape Flattery, the most epic beautiful location I have ever seen. I was completely blown away, and might have shed a tear. They are also the most fearless couple ever, and were totally down to dance on the edge of a cliff over the ocean for amazing pictures. Zoe was beyond excited to show me all the amazing places her home has to offer, and she kept saying how happy it made her, and I kept saying how happy it made me. Then we stopped at the most amazing Washington rainforest. They wore all black. I cried a little. It was great.
16 hours later we made it back to Seattle, and I’m already scheming up ways to get these two to hang out with me again when I come back to Washington.
